Progress Doesn’t Always Feel Like Progress (But That Doesn’t Mean It’s Not Working)
I’m in Phase 2 of my current training plan this week. And when I say this, I mean it. Everything felt harder. Monday night, I was in my training session, working legs. I was already exhausted, and I still had two rounds of a finisher and 20 minutes of cardio left. I remember standing there, thinking, I’ll stop here, and looking for a reason. Any reason. And I found one. I stopped. The reason? Family. My wife needed help with dinner. And look that’s real life. I’ll always choose that when needed. But that feeling of wanting to stop… that’s what stuck with me. Because if I’m being honest, I was already halfway out before that. Later that night, I started thinking about it. At the end of Phase 1, things were getting easier. Movements felt smoother. Workouts felt more manageable. I was even starting to get a little bored. Then Phase 2 hit… and everything felt hard again.
